The Information Communication and Technology Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Information Governance Lead to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

You will provide specialist expertise and guidance in relation to information governance in the context of the MHHS IM/ICT environment; ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards; lead the design and implementation of appropriate controls, processes and solutions required to define and operate the systems for information access, recordkeeping, information security and compliance monitoring.

About the Team

Digital and Information Services encompasses several teams not limited to the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Department, Health Information Services, Informatics and Digital Health Solutions. The ICT Department encompasses two streams of delivery ICT operations and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) uplift. This position will also work closely with the Digital and Information Management teams, to provide Information Governance related advice, guidance and support to optimise information level compliance and maturity within a contemporary health care environment.
