Are you a dedicated experienced Support Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity? Wellness Australia Group is seeking experienced and compassionate wellbeing mentors with experience and passion in improving clients lives to join our team in the Gympie area.

About the Role:

As support worker, you will play a crucial role within a dedicated team in providing high-quality care and supports to a wonderful lady with complexities with her disability and mental health. Your responsibilities will include:

This participant requires females only.

Be a team player contributing to a multi-disciplinary team

Providing support under the guidance of the Positive Behaviour Practitioner.

Provide personal care

Implementing and adhering to NDIS legislation and guidelines.

Utilizing demonstrated experience in restrictive practices while respecting and upholding human rights.

Offering compassionate care tailored to the individual’s needs.

Promoting their independence and quality of life.

Set roster for this client but additional hours and opportunities available for the right applicant.

Training and professional development opportunities available

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role, particularly with complex mental health and intellectual disabilities or working within the Child Safety or Aged Care sectors.

Demonstrated experience with restrictive practices.

Strong understanding of human rights and their application in support settings.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Computer literacy essential

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Relevant qualifications and certifications in support work or a related field highly regarded

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
