About the Role:

Yambeen Farming Company is seeking an experienced Agricultural Consultant to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. This role combines advisory expertise with practical involvement in crop production and soil improvement, with a strong emphasis on the use of modern agricultural equipment and precision farming technologies. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to drive innovation, implement sustainable practices, and introduce new strategies that enhance efficiency and maximise productivity across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide on-site advice to improve crop yields through efficient and sustainable fertilisation practices.

· Increase production by integrating alternative farming options and innovative techniques to maximise efficiency and profitability.

· Operate and oversee the use of modern agricultural machinery equipped with precision GPS (e.g., John Deere, Trimble systems) to optimise field operations.

· Monitor and manage factors impacting yield potential, including pest and weed control, by implementing targeted and sustainable solutions.

· Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute strategies that enhance productivity and drive continuous improvement across farming operations.

· Prepare reports and deliver recommendations to management to support data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field.

· Proven experience in agricultural consulting, with hands-on involvement in crop and soil management.

· Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and modern farm technologies.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Current driver’s licence.

Desirable Skills:

· Accreditation in chemical application and practical knowledge of integrated pest management.

· Familiarity with precision agriculture technologies and advanced farming equipment.

· Truck licence and proven ability to operate a range of modern farm machinery.

· Experience contributing innovative ideas to improve farming efficiency and sustainability.
