SCHADS Award - Grade 4:1 - $88,000 per year + Super + Salary Packaging + Meal Allowance
Full-Time -Monday - Thursday 08:30 am to 04:30 pm & Friday 08:30 am - 05:00 pm
The Role:
This is a hands-on, detail-focused role. You’ll report directly to the CEO, and your supervisor will be the Finance Manager.
The Business and Finance Administrator will have a high level of responsibility, ensuring the efficient and effective management of the business management system, including the Plan Management of participant budgets and the NDIS billing system, as well as maintaining the database containing participant essential information.
You will also be required to attend staff meetings.
Qualifications, licenses, and experience:
· Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position with a desirable completion of Business/Accounting qualifications or studying towards.
· Demonstrated organisational, administrative, supervisory, and management practices appropriate to the position.
· A minimum of 1 year of Plan Management Experience is desirable
· Proficient in MS Office
· Current Driver’s license
· Experience in working in an environment with people with disability
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently, be highly organised, proactive, and work well as part of a team.
· Ability to work under high pressure.
· Working with Children’s Check, Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check will be required
· Bookkeeping experience
· Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
· Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) in the payment of invoices and management of client accounts.
· An understanding of Service Agreements or contracts is desirable.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Have an understanding and commitment to the principles of the NDIS Act 2013, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and other relevant legislation and Newidafe Policies and Procedures.
· Adhere to all practices in line with statutory legislation and regulations.
· Ability to work as a team, both supervised and unsupervised. This role will carry a high level of responsibility and autonomy.
· Managing the day-to-day enquiries from families, participants regarding their plan management and communication with stakeholders, NDIA, and providers.
· Monitoring participants' budgets effectively and accurately.
· Processing invoices and other financial practices in a timely and accurate manner.
· Making claims through the NDIS portal.
· Securing and maintaining the required evidence to comply with auditing requirements.
· Keeping up to date with the latest NDIS updates and guides, and being informed of all aspects of programs, service delivery, and relevant changes.
· Monitoring and maintaining the budgets of each participant and providing written finance reports to the CEO and Finance Manager
· Other duties as assigned, within the scope of practice
