About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant to join our team at Elevate Construction Group QLD. In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting support to ensure the smooth financial operations of our growing construction business.

What you'll be doing

Preparing project financial reports tracking actual cost vs budgeted amounts for construction projects in XERO.

Invoicing clients and sending payment claim documents. (Internal training provided for our claim documents)

Assisting with the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and other financial analysis.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, organising accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.

Liaising with external accountants to ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations. This includes lodging BAS and annual tax on time.

Some additional basic general administration tasks.

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications or current study in a qualification in accounting or bookkeeping, such as a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping

Experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts assistant role, preferably within the construction industry.

Proficient in using XERO accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the director, construction team, and clients.
