MAK Media is seeking a dynamic Digital Performance Marketing Specialist to join our Cairns office.

About the role

The Digital Performance Marketing Specialist role is an exciting opportunity to deliver end-to-end digital marketing campaigns for our agency’s clients.

This is a delivery-focused role, where you’ll manage your assigned clients and execute end-to-end digital campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads.

You’ll be responsible for setting up campaigns, optimising performance, reporting results, and handling day-to-day communication with clients (email, meetings and the occasional phone call).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in paid digital, excellent organisational skills, and the confidence to drive client projects to success.

You’ll report to and be supported by our Digital Manager and Digital Director, who will provide ongoing guidance and training, help troubleshoot issues, and ensure you’re set up to succeed.

While this role involves account management, it is not a sales role - our dedicated Sales team handles all new business and upselling.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of digital clients and act as their day-to-day contact.

Plan, build, and optimise Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns.

Monitor performance and implement ongoing improvements.

Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates, insights, and strategic recommendations.

Provide campaign reports and proactively communicate results

Attend client meetings or calls when required

Coordinate with internal team for tracking, creative delivery, or technical support

Escalate issues or strategic challenges to Sales and/or Digital Manager

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years experience in paid digital

High proficiency with Meta Ads and Google Ads

Comfortable managing client communication and presenting campaign results

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Bonus points for experience with:

Conversion Tracking, Google Analytics, GTM

Programmatic platforms (e.g. TTD or DV360)

other paid social platforms (e.g. Snapchat, TikTok, LinkedIn)
