What’s the role?
We’re looking for a skilled Senior Tax Accountant to step into a high-impact role within News Corp Australia’s finance team. This 9-month contract offers the chance to work with a leading media organisation, managing complex tax compliance and advisory across a national group. You’ll gain exposure to consolidated returns, regulatory reviews, and strategic tax advice—all within a supportive, hybrid environment just minutes from Central Station. It’s an ideal opportunity to sharpen your technical skills and make your mark in a fast-paced, high-profile business.
In this role you will:
- Prepare consolidated and standalone tax returns (income tax, FBT, and GST), including supporting workpapers
- Manage tax compliance obligations and assist with external reviews by tax authorities
- Provide clear, practical tax advice to internal stakeholders across the business
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments to ensure ongoing compliance
- Use tools such as CCH Integrator, FBT Onesource, and JDE to support tax reporting and analysis
Who are you?
- CA or CPA qualified with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven commercial experience in Australian corporate tax, including FBT and GST
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to advise non-financial stakeholders
- Familiar with tax systems such as CCH Integrator, FBT Onesource, and JD Edwards (JDE)
