We’re offering a unique and deeply rewarding opportunity for a passionate GP to join our team delivering essential healthcare services to remote Pilbara communities through the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) clinics.
✈️ Your Week at a Glance
3 days of outreach clinics each week—travel by plane twice and 4WD once for a truly adventurous workweek.
Clinic days are usually about 7am-4.30pm. Fly for about an hour out to clinic and see patients from 08.30am-2.30pm and head for home again.
Monday admin time with flexibility—structure your week to suit your lifestyle, including the option of a 4-day weekend every second week.
Permanent 0.8 FTE (Mon–Thu) based in Port Hedland, with FIFO job-share options available.

🩺 Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a GP who brings both clinical excellence and a passion for remote healthcare:
FRACGP or FACRRM
Unconditional AHPRA Specialist GP registration
Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience, including general practice, emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, and gynaecology
Interest in clinical education and telehealth
Experience in Indigenous health, remote community care, and shared antenatal care is highly desirable
Completion of emergency courses such as ALS is advantageous
💼 Total Remuneration Package
Base salary up to $273,562 per annum (at 0.8 FTE)
Heavily subsidised housing, vehicle, and utilities (or allowances)
Salary packaging: up to $15,900/year for everyday expenses + $2,650/year for meals and entertainment
No out of hours or on call
Relocation support
Professional development allowance (included in base salary above)
5 weeks annual leave (pro-rata)
2 weeks study leave after 12 months (pro-rata)
