As an ICT Project Officer (Technical), you will lead the planning, design, and execution of user and system migrations associated with organisational relocations, ensuring seamless transitions in and out of affected environments. This includes overseeing supply arrangements that support service continuity, managing infrastructure capacity and availability, mitigating outage risks, and coordinating internal resources for service relocations. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members in infrastructure operations related to migrated services and systems.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead capacity planning and coordination of server environments and hyper-converged infrastructure (SFIA: CPMG 5).
• Establish systems for evaluating and monitoring ICT infrastructure performance and capacity, with strategic planning for future requirements, including potential transitions to hybrid delivery models (SFIA: ITMG 5).
• Ensure high-quality, secure IT operational services through the development and maintenance of controls and procedures (SFIA: ITOP 5).
• Provide technical leadership and foster a collaborative team environment to achieve organisational outcomes, including delivering performance feedback (SFIA: PEMT 5).
• Oversee the lifecycle management of the Managed Operating Environment (MOE) for corporate infrastructure, including patching and vulnerability management (SFIA: SYSP 5).

Additional Responsibilities

• Deliver expert technical advice to support the migration of internal and external ICT infrastructure and services.
• Prepare reports, trend analyses, and strategic recommendations for management regarding operational changes and future directions in ICT infrastructure.
• Liaise with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues related to communications and networking systems.
• Manage vendor support arrangements across infrastructure components including data centres, networks, services, and specialist support.
• Develop and implement incident analysis, problem resolution, and change management processes for operational communications and infrastructure systems, including designing new solutions where existing ones are unavailable.
• Perform other duties as required, aligned with the technical scope of the role.

Technical Skills, Abilities & Cultural Capability

• Proficiency in Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) technologies (e.g. Nutanix).
• Advanced analytical skills in troubleshooting complex environments and developing effective solutions.
• Operational experience in Microsoft technologies including MS Server, AOVPN, RDS/Windows365, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, Microsoft Azure, and Endpoint Manager (Intune and Autopilot).
• Experience with scripting, virtual server management, and certificate administration.
• Skilled in ITIL-based support environments and platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft 365 Defender.
• Understanding of modern co-management technologies and migration paths from on-premise to cloud solutions.
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft End User Computing technologies, software packaging, and Amazon Web Services.
• Leadership experience supporting a hybrid infrastructure environment across on-premise and cloud systems.3.
