The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate, driven, and determined IT Department Lead to spearhead the development of our new IT department. This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to shape the future of IT at SCI, drive innovation, and grow a department that delivers world-class IT solutions. You will be responsible for establishing processes, training team members, providing IT support, and expanding our service offerings to clients. Key Responsibilities

Department Setup & Leadership: Design and implement the structure, processes, and workflows for the IT department to ensure efficiency and scalability.

IT Service Delivery: Oversee internal IT support for SCI’s security and communications systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

Client IT Services: Develop and deliver IT service offerings to clients, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and consulting on IT solutions.

Team Training & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor IT team members to build a high-performing, cohesive unit.

Service Calls & Support: Manage and respond to service calls, ensuring timely and effective resolution of IT issues for both internal and client-facing systems.

Process Optimization: Establish standardized procedures for IT operations, ticketing systems, and client support to ensure consistency and quality.

Growth & Innovation: Identify opportunities to expand IT services, enhance client satisfaction, and drive department revenue, contributing to SCI’s overall growth.

Who We’re Looking For

Experience: 5+ years in IT management or a senior IT role, with experience in IT support, network administration, and system implementation. Background in security or communications systems is a plus.

Skills:

Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud services, cybersecurity).

Proven ability to lead teams, train staff, and manage projects.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, clients, and team members.

Exceptional problem-solving and customer service skills.

Experience setting up IT processes and workflows (e.g., ITIL, ticketing systems).

Qualities:

Hungry and determined to build a successful IT department from scratch.

Enthusiastic, proactive, and team-oriented with a passion for innovation.

Strong communicator, capable of fostering collaboration and building trust with internal teams and clients.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, ITIL) are a plus.
