The Opportunity
The Parks Retirement Living is a welcoming retirement living community, home to 150+ independent living villas that are surrounded by rainforests with mountain views, offering a unique tropical ambience. In this role of Assistant Community Manager, you will work closely with the Community Manager, fellow staff and residents to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and administration of the community. Your customer-centred approach to your work, strong administration skills and ability to connect with our residents will help you be successful. This is a resident-facing role where you will contribute to shaping the overall culture of the community and deliver a high level of administration and customer service.
This is a permanent full-time Monday-Friday position.

You will:
- Complete a wide range of administrative duties, including reception tasks (answering phones, greeting residents and visitors)
- Be the first point of contact for residents, deescalate any initial concerns and deliver gold-standard service
- Support in the daily operations of village services including maintenance/facilities requests, safety & security, events & activities and responding to emergencies
- Take ownership of compliance administration including ensuring safety checklists are up to date, audits are complete and maintenance tasks are scheduled
- Be a friendly face for all incoming residents and take ownership of the administrative items on resident arrival (e.g Entry Condition Reports)
- Assist with taking residents out for weekly trips in our village minibus (you will only need a standard car license)
- Complete general administrative tasks and step into the role of Community Manager during periods of absence
- Contribute and shape the overall culture of The Parks community and work to positively promote the village as a place for residents to live
What you'll bring:
- Experience in an operations-based management role or customer-facing administrative role (e.g Property Manager, Facilities Manager, Operations Manager or an Admin Assistant)
- A fun, self-motivated attitude, who is looking for a highly engaging role where you will wear many hats!
- Knowledge of real estate or property management is desired, but not essential.
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Suite and highly computer literate
- High-level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction
