Seeking Two Positive & Enthusiastic Female Support Workers in Mandurah

Hi! I am a 29-year-old woman living in the PEEL area, and I'm looking for two new female support workers to join my team. I'm hoping to find individuals who are genuinely positive, driven, patient and creative – these qualities are very important to me.

I have 24-hour supports in my home, and I'm looking for people who can help me with various aspects of my daily life. I am currently studying at TAFE, and I'm hoping to get back into swimming/wading at the pool soon. I also have a cat who is very special to me and keeps me company (those with cat allergies or an aversion to pets would not be suitable).

It's important to me to maintain my autonomy, so I'm looking for support workers who are patient and listen carefully to what I need and want. The support I'm looking for includes help with my TAFE work, fostering healthy friendships, prioritising healthy choices/staying active, and maintaining my home.

A few important requirements for this role:

Someone who can share their passions, hobbies and interests with me.

Someone who can share my cheeky nature, be silly and have a giggle with me.

Someone who is kind, but is also confident in implementing boundaries.

Knowledge around trauma-informed support.

Experience supporting individuals with complex mental health/psychosocial concerns.

Previous experience with seizure management is preferable.

Essential Qualities and Experience.

A valid Driver’s License

A reliable vehicle with comprehensive Insurance

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.

Current Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.

Current First Aid, or willingness to obtain one.

Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills

The successful candidate/s will also be required to have completed or complete the following training;

Infection Prevention & Control

Manual Handling Awareness

Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals

Medication Management

Epilepsy and Midazolam Awareness

Safety Interventions
