As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage all core financial operations and support leadership with clear financial reporting and compliance.
The Role
As our Senior Bookkeeper, you will manage day-to-day financial functions including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and BAS compliance. You’ll maintain segmented profit & loss statements by revenue stream, support the General Manager with financial data, and ensure systems like Xero, Deputy, and POS platforms are integrated and accurate.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Control
• Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and reconcile accounts
• Administer fortnightly payroll including PAYG, superannuation, and STP
compliance
• Maintain Xero accounts, journals, bank reconciliations, and cash coding
• Manage Deputy rostering and timesheet integration with payroll
• Control petty cash, event floats, and daily EFTPOS reconciliations
• Prepare and submit BAS in partnership with external accountants
• Ensure compliance with ATO regulations, Fair Work, and Awards
Financial Reporting & Business Support
• Maintain clean, segmented P&Ls across restaurant, weddings, and events
• Provide fortnightly and monthly financial summaries to the General Manager
• Support GM with budget tracking and forecasting data inputs
• Identify and flag cash flow issues as they arise or overdue invoices promptly
• Track event prepayments and align deposit recognition with service delivery

• Clear communicator able to explain financial information to non-financial team members
• Systems-focused with a love for technology integrations like Xero, Deputy, and POS systems
• Self-motivated, discreet, and trustworthy with sensitive financial information
• Calm, proactive, and reliable under pressure, especially during tax deadlines or payment cycles
