Are you an experienced Carpentry Trainer & Assessor?

Ivory Institute is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Carpentry Trainer to guide and mentor students, providing them with the theoretical and practical skills and knowledge required for success in the building and construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions that align with current industry practices and relevant training packages.

Develop and update training and assessment materials in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Provide both practical demonstrations and theoretical instruction in carpentry techniques, tools, safety, and workplace practices.

Stay current with industry trends by engaging with building and construction professionals.

Assess, mark, and provide feedback on student assessments and projects.

Monitor student progress, offering support and guidance to help them meet learning objectives.

Skills and Experience Required:

Certificate III in Carpentry or higher.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Full Australian work rights.

Recent industry experience in residential or commercial carpentry.

Strong understanding of WHS (Work Health and Safety) regulations and construction site protocols.

Skills and Attributes:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and support learners from diverse backgrounds.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills for maintaining accurate student records and compliance.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
