Macallan College is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic team member to deliver Cabinet Making courses at our Adelaide campus.
Macallan College is an established vocational education provider, operating five campuses across Australia, with a focus on trade courses within the automotive, hospitality, and construction industries.
We are looking for a passionate Cabinet Making Trainer/Assessor to support our growing faculty by delivering classroom and practical face to face training to an international cohort in the following qualification:
MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology
Required:
MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology (or equivalent or higher)
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent or higher)
Recent experience teaching in the vocational education and training (VET) sector
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Current industry experience
Demonstrated a high degree of initiative and self-management in a high-performing, outcome-focused, and principles-based environment
Demonstrated understanding of RTO operational and legislative requirements
A current National Police Clearance (NPC) or ability to obtain one
A current driver's license
Experience delivering training and assessment to international students
Demonstrated ability in using an online learning management system (aXcelerate or similar)
Desirable:
Strong industry and community networks
2+ years teaching in the vocational education sector with a CRICOS provider highly regarded.
Key tasks:
Deliver training and assessment to students enrolled in a Certificate III level course through various delivery modes including classroom, workshop, and online
Regular audits of workshop resources, completing monthly PPE resource orders, and ensuring all workshop equipment is maintained
Engage with industry and complete annual industry competency tasks to ensure currency
Participate in assessment review meetings for the validation, comparison, and evaluation of assessment processes, tools, and evidence against competency standards
Comply with our policies and procedures including for training and assessment
Accurately maintain records of student attendance, course progress and assessment outcomes
Liaise with industry to assess current needs and ensure best practice.
