About the Role
We are seeking a seeking an enthusiastic and customer focussed individual to join the Ranger Services team and provide day to day care of animals at the City’s Animal Care Centre.

You will be providing quality customer service to the community by providing daily care to animals including housing, food, water and exercise (primarily dogs and cats, but also includes livestock when required). The position is also responsible for the daily cleaning of the Centre to maintain a healthy and disease free environment and also facilitates the return of impounded animals to their owners or approved care groups. The successful person must also be willing to work a roster system inclusive of weekends.

The position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have an interest in animal husbandry and the care of animals whilst at the Centre.

About You
You will be an adaptable and experienced person in the care and welfare of animals who is passionate about delivering high quality customer service outcomes to the community.

As such, you will be able to demonstrate through your resume and covering letter that you meet the following capabilities:

  • Qualifications in a relevant disciple such as Certification in Animal Studies or relevant experience
  • Experience in the operations of an animal care facility
  • Good animal husbandry skills and animal handling knowledge.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience with computers and IT systems.
  • C class Driver’s Licence.
