The Role:
The Maintenance Officer/Gardener is responsible for completion of maintenance/handyman and gardening duties for Lutheran Aged Care Albury, as detailed below.
Position Objectives:
- Completion of all maintenance and repair work in a timely and professional manner;
- Minor building and construction work as directed;
- To ensure that the grounds of Lutheran Aged Care (LAC) are presented in an optimal manner at all times;
- To assist with the maintenance and development of gardens as directed;
- Complete cleaning tasks to ensure LAC grounds are always visually appealing;
- Undertake mowing, whipper-snipping and edging of grassed areas as required;
- Provide input into the requirements for the maintenance and repair of equipment;
- Assist with the LAC weed and pest eradication programs as required;
- To participate in WH&S programs to ensure that regulatory requirements, risk management, injury management and staff consultation processes are implemented
- To follow policies and procedures as detailed in the Quality Manuals.

- Experience in maintaining and developing outdoor assets

It is a requirement for this role that the occupant participates in the after-hours on-call roster and possesses a current and valid driver’s licence.
