SSA Group are working with a leading Mechanical Contracting company based in Gold Coast seeking an experience Mechanical/HVAC Estimator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimation & Analysis: Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess labor, materials, and time requirements.
• Tender Preparation: Develop and compile comprehensive tender submissions that align with project requirements and technical specifications.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive and cost-effective project delivery.
• Project Communication: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders—including clients, consultants, and contractors—to support project success.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and industry partners.

What We're Looking For:

• Trade Qualification or Mechanical HVAC Background: Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the commercial HVAC industry, with proven estimating and quoting skills.
• Project Values: Experienced in the tendering of projects from $100k - $5Mill+
• Technical Understanding: Ability to confidently interpret mechanical documentation, drawings, and other construction plans.
• HVAC Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and industry practices from design to installation.
• Tech-Savvy: Competence in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Estimate One is a plus (training provided).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; confident in dealing with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Client & Stakeholder Focused: Ability to build strong relationships and deliver high-quality service to meet project and client needs.
• Time Management: Able to manage multiple tenders concurrently and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
