Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer for an autonomous role that offers the opportunity to lead enterprise-scale projects. Roles and Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain high-performing and secure network infrastructure across multi-site environments

Lead network projects from start to finish, ensuring successful and timely delivery including full infrastructure refreshes

Architect end-to-end solutions for critical infrastructure projects with hyper-segmentation and advanced security

Oversee design and change management processes, ensuring documentation remains current

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues at an expert level across multi-vendor environments

Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor

Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions

Monitor network performance, recommend upgrades, and implement improvements

Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and supporting their development

Conduct pre-sales activities and contribute to technical proposals

Perform network audits and security assessments

Role Requirements:

Cisco certifications are highly desirable but not essential

Proven experience as a Network Engineer with 8+ years in enterprise environments

Strong track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects and network refreshes

Experience with network architecture design across diverse industries

Excellent communication skills and effective stakeholder relationship management

Proactive approach and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Solid experience in account management and stakeholder engagement

Experience in pre-sales activities and technical documentation

Technical Requirements:

Strong experience with Cisco networking solutions and core routing protocols

Experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, including SD-WAN solutions

Familiarity with multi-vendor environments (HP Aruba, Extreme Networks)

Network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds)

Proficiency in VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access)

Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

Experience with data centre networking and enterprise infrastructure

Exposure to advanced security solutions and monitoring platforms
