Join a growing Western Australian telecommunications company delivering reliable, high-performance networking and communication solutions to clients across the mining and resources sector.
We’re looking for a Junior Network Engineer (Level 2) to support our expanding client base. This role is ideal for someone with some hands-on experience in networking or telecommunications, who’s eager to grow, learn, and take their technical skills to the next level in a dynamic and supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a varied, hands-on role that includes both remote and on-site support (FIFO/DIDO as required). You’ll be part of a team responsible for:
Supporting and maintaining network infrastructure for mining camps and remote sites.
Providing support for:
Security systems
Camp WiFi and site-wide communications
CCTV systems
IP Phones and IP Telephony platforms
Diagnosing and resolving break/fix incidents across supported customer sites.
Assisting with the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of:
Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
Linux-based systems
Callix, Ruckus, and other telco solutions
Escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed while maintaining clear communication with customers.
Maintaining documentation and ensuring systems are operating to expected standards.
While the role is primarily based in our Perth office, you’ll be required to travel to remote sites occasionally, supporting installations, maintenance, or urgent issues as needed (FIFO/DIDO).
What We’re Looking For
Some prior experience in telecommunications or IT/networking support.
A working knowledge or strong interest in IP networking, wireless systems, and Linux.
Exposure to or willingness to learn technologies such as Callix, Ruckus, IP Telephony, and CCTV systems.
Strong communication and customer service skills – we support critical operations in challenging environments.
A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong desire to learn and take ownership of problems.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Must be WA-based with full Australian work rights.
Ability to travel for short FIFO/DIDO trips to remote customer sites.
