We’re a local family-owned, and independent optometry business experiencing exciting growth! Amanda Duffy and James Paton own Eyecare Plus Belmont, which now has over 150+ five star Google reviews - more than any independent Optometrist in Newcastle.

They also recently started Eyecare Plus Edgeworth. Due to the success of the stores and commitment to improving optical care in the Lake Macquarie region, we need to hire an additional staff member.

Eyecare Plus Belmont and Edgeworth are leading and dynamic optical practices, dedicated to providing exceptional eye care, personalised service, and high-quality eyewear solutions.

Location & Days

Belmont and/or Edgeworth (pending experience)

3 to 4 days/week (Saturdays 9am to 1pm preferred, but not essential)

Qualifications & experience

Experience as an Optical Dispenser / Assistant is preferred but not essential

Experience as a Manager is preferred but not essential

Competent computer skills (experience with Sunix, Outlook, Word and Excel is desired but not essential)

Tasks & responsibilities

Lens dispensing and frame styling advice

Reception, administration, and clerical duties

Conducting auxiliary tests (e.g., Visual Fields, Optical Coherence Tomography)

Management of Optometry store (pending experience)
