About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic part-time Optical Assistant to join our team at Specsavers Jesmond in Jesmond NSW 2299. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting our optometrists to deliver high-quality eye care.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming customers to the store
• Assisting customers in selecting the right frames and lenses
• Providing information about optical products and services
• Ensuring the store is well-stocked and maintained
• Supporting the optometrists with pre-testing and other clinical tasks
• Handling cash and card transactions
• Administrative duties as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably within the optical industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• A passion for providing outstanding customer service
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software
• A friendly, professional and welcoming demeanour
