Role Details:
Our practice provides administrative support and management services to a group of independent specialist medical providers. These practitioners provide care regarding health, developmental and behavioural concerns in children from birth to late adolescence.
Hours:
We are seeking candidates who are interested in a flexible and casual position. The right candidate will be happy to work varying hours, from 15 to 30 hours per week, to cover fluctuating staffing needs throughout the year. Permanency may be offered if our operational requirements change.
Staff are normally rostered to cover shifts of varying lengths between the practice's operational hours, which are 8:30 am to 6:00 pm each day. Staffing needs vary at different times of the year, such as during school holidays or when other staff are taking leave. Subject to operational requirements, we may be happy to offer some weekday evening or Saturday morning shifts if this would meet an employee's needs. Please address any issues or preferences regarding availability for these times in your cover letter.
Remuneration:
The role will be paid at or above the Award rate, in line with the experience and skills of the successful candidate as these develop. We are seeking applicants who can at least start at level 3 of the Health Professionals and Support Services, but preferably with a capacity to start or quickly develop to level 4 or higher.
Location:
Our two sites are located in Adelaide's inner east and north, and you may be required to work across these sites.
Duties include:
General reception and administration tasks in person and via email and phones using software and other electronic IT systems, in accordance with policies and procedures.
Communication and liaison with practice team members (including management), doctors, children, adolescents and parents in person, via phone, email and other messaging systems as per the procedure.
Light cleaning, tidying and general maintenance of a comfortable, clean, hygienic and organised environment as per procedure.
Immediate cleaning of any spills/mess associated with the medical & paediatric nature of the practice.
Performing all duties within patient & practitioner confidentiality requirements of the law and healthcare ethics, and seeking direction where unclear or circumstances are not typical.
To be considered, applicants must provide both:
A letter specifically addressed to the above criteria and to Prosper Paediatrics. We would like to know why you are interested in working at our practice specifically and why you believe you would be a strong candidate for this position, demonstrating how you meet the selection criteria outlined in this advertisement. Providing this information, as requested, will help us have confidence that you will be happy and able to follow our policies and procedures. We encourage you to review our website to find out more about our practice before applying: www.prosperpaediatrics.au
A succinct chronological resume setting out a summary of work, education and other relevant experience only. Again, if provided as requested, this will help us have confidence regarding your capacity to follow policy and procedures and to organise information effectively.
Applications through this job posting only.
Applications close at 5.00 pm Friday, 08 August 2025; however, the position will be filled earlier if the right candidate applies, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
Previously unsuccessful applicants for positions with our practice should not apply unless they have previously been personally advised by the Manager to do so.
