This is a full-time role based in and around either Melbourne, Victoria, Adelaide, SA, or Perth, WA . The Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA) is celebrating its 90th year and as the Divisional Executive Officer for the SA, NT and WA region, along with some National duties, you will play a vital role in supporting the strategic objectives of the association and ensuring smooth operations across these territories. To achieve this, the successful candidate can be based in Victoria, SA or WA.
What you'll be doing
Providing high-level administrative and executive support to the SA/NT & WA Divisional President and Committee members
Organising and attending in-person or online divisional committee meetings, preparing agendas and minutes
Managing the divisional event calendar, training workshops and networking events
Responding to member enquiries and providing excellent member support
Assisting with the development and implementation of divisional strategies and projects
Monitoring and reporting on divisional activities and budgets
Liaising with the national AFDA office and other state/territory divisions
Representing the division in-person or online at industry events and stakeholder meetings
Assisting the National Office with additional administration tasks
What we're looking for
Experience in an administrative or executive support role, ideally within the not-for-profit or association sector
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in MS Office suite and comfortable with using various office technologies
Knowledge and experience of the funeral industry and association landscape would be highly regarded
Tertiary qualification in a related field is desirable
