Geraldton Mower and Repairs are looking for a Small Engine Mechanic.

A strong mechanical aptitude is required to undertake key responsibilities and duties including
maintains, tests and repairs engines of equipment with small engines.

The successful applicant will ideally be:
- Qualified and experienced in small engines (chainsaws, lawnmowers and motorcycles.
- Either qualified as a Small Engine Mechanic plus 2 years or have 7 years’ experience in the trade.
- Experienced with Stihl, Honda equipment and Briggs-Stratton engines.
- Interested in dealing with people and being part of the sales team.
- Enthusiastic and motivated.
- Must pass an English test of 5 in IELTS General English test.

Your tasks will include:
- Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering, repairing and replacing worn
and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as
needed.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups.
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
- Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.

All duties are performed on-site.
