As an integrated security provider, our business includes security and CCTV installation & support, 24/7 security monitoring, alarm responses, patrols and guarding. Managed from our head office in Ballarat, our business is dynamic and fast paced.
We have recently completed a significant upgrade of our business systems architecture including a new financial management system. This has enabled the company to enter a new and exciting phase of growth.
We have identified the need for an experienced Bookkeeper to be an important conduit linking our internal administration team with our external accountants.
This is a niche role ideally suited to an individual looking for a limited number of flexible hours per month (approximately 0.2FTE). Therefore, this role can be considered as either part time employment or a new customer for an existing bookkeeping business.
Key Responsibilities:
As Bookkeeper your primary responsibilities will include:
Completing monthly accounting entries (including all cost centre allocations, journals and accruals) on a timely basis.
Reconciling invoices and information generated from specific department data bases, which are necessary to complete monthly reporting,
Prepare work papers including stock system reconciliations and supporting reports, to be supplied to external accountants for completion of monthly reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
· Advanced Excel knowledge and experience
· At least three (3) years’ but ideally more than five (5) years’ experience as a bookkeeper, working with small to medium enterprises.
· Experience working with Microsoft Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be highly regarded.
· The ability to coordinate workflows in a team environment supporting internal and external stakeholders.
· A track record of providing excellent customer service and the ability to work under pressure.
· Articulate (both written and verbal skills) and a genuine “people person”.
