About the Role:

We're seeking a Senior Workforce Planner to lead strategic and operational workforce planning for the BPC. This role is responsible for forecasting resource needs, developing and managing staff rosters, allocating work, and generating performance and capacity reports.

Using data-driven insights and forecasting tools, you'll ensure staffing aligns with operational demands to deliver efficient, high-quality services. You'll also oversee and enhance workforce planning processes, standardise reporting, and adapt strategies to meet evolving organisational needs.

As a key liaison between operational teams and support services, you'll drive workforce performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in leading operational reporting, including developing and presenting performance metrics to inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in workforce management within a call centre environment, encompassing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, or a closely related field.
  • Support the Field Support Services Manager by coordinating workforce resources, managing schedules and systems, maintaining forecasts, and adapting to operational changes.
  • Oversee workforce planning initiatives and reporting analysis to ensure alignment with organisational goals, service standards, and scheduling benchmarks, while driving continuous improvements to optimise operational outcomes.

About the BPC

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.

It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.

Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
