About the role

Nabiac Kids Shack is an outside school hours care (OOSH) in Nabiac, NSW, is seeking an experienced OOSH Coordinator to join our dedicated team. As the OOSH Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of our vibrant OOSH program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for the children in our care. This is a part-time position based in Nabiac, NSW.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the daily operations of the OOSH program, including scheduling, staffing, and program planning

Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and policies governing the provision of OOSH services

Developing and implementing engaging and age-appropriate activities and programs that support the holistic development of children

Fostering strong relationships with children, families, and the local community

Managing and supporting a very small team of OOSH educators, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities

Maintaining accurate records and reporting on program activities, enrolments, and financial matters

Collaborating with the broader Nabiac Kids Shack management committee to continuously improve the quality of our OOSH services

What we're looking for

Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Care, or a related field

Significant experience (2+ years) in a leadership or coordinator role within the OOSH or childcare sector

Comprehensive understanding of the National Quality Framework, regulations, and best practices in the OOSH industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and staff

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively

A genuine passion for supporting the holistic development and wellbeing of children

A current First Aid certificate and valid Working with Children Check

30 hours (25 hours on the floor and 5 hours dedicated administration time)
