About the Opportunity

UnitingCare Forestville Preschool, a 4 unit community-based Preschool, has a strong focus on inclusion and support for children with additional needs. Our goal is to enable equitable education outcomes against the five outcome areas of the EYLF for all children in our service. In this role you will assist and support the delivery of the educational program across all preschool classrooms and work in the Extended Hours Program.

What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Certificate III Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!

Your work may include:

  • Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
  • Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.

Who we’re looking for

  • Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, with previous on the job experience (preferred)
  • Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
  • A work history that demonstrates, programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework (National Standard)
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
