Are you a natural leader with a love of all things Digital? We are on the hunt for an experienced Digital Marketing Director, with at least 10+ years of agency experience and successfully managing internal teams.

In this newly created role, you will report directly to the Managing Director and must have an excellent eye for detail and be confident about your presenting skills – both internally to our team and externally to our clients. You are a strategic and analytical thinker, who knows how to make people feel engaged during a presentation.

About The Role.

Digital Marketing Director - Essential Skills & Experience

Agency experience and team management experience – minimum 10+ years.

Commercially astute, solutions-focussed, and always managing and exceeding client expectations.

Exceptional commutation and written skills.

Always meeting deadlines.

Proven experience planning and executing campaigns across all major digital channels – this comes naturally to you based on your experience.

Strong understanding of proposal creation and presentation, SEO, Google Ads, Socials, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, SEMrush, HubSpot, Mailchimp, and project management platforms like Asana etc.

Managing a direct digital team of 10-20 people with expertise in the following areas: SEO, Google Ads, Socials, Writers, and Clients.

Keeping in regular contact with our Clients (i.e. calling them with updates, checking that our processes are working as they wish before they flag it as an issue etc).

Overseas travel required on occasion - US & Europe.

A good understanding of data, analytics, audience targeting, conversion optimisation and where appropriate, media buying.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Strategy & Campaign Planning

Develop full-funnel digital marketing strategies that align with client goals.

Plan and oversee integrated campaigns across channels.

Identify target audiences, messaging strategies, and conversion goals.

Build and manage marketing calendars, media plans, and channel budgets.

2. Campaign Execution & Optimisation

Oversee end-to-end execution of campaigns from briefing to delivery.

Work closely with performance specialists, creatives, developers, and content teams.

Ensure assets, copy, and tracking are aligned and launched on time.

Monitor KPIs (CPC, CTR, CPA, engagement, etc.) and lead optimisations.

3. Team Leadership

Set clear goals, manage performance, and support team growth.

Regular weekly team meetings.

Reporting regularly to our Managing Director with key updates.

Lead and mentor a team of channel specialists, copywriters, and coordinators.

Allocate resources based on project needs and timelines.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as the senior point of contact for key clients and internal stakeholders.

Present campaign strategies, reports, and insights in a clear, business-oriented manner.

Build strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Translate business goals into actionable digital tactics.

5. Performance Reporting & Insights

Report back to the MD on top-line clients – ie. What are we doing / where can we improve.
