The Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation (Jabalbina) administers native title rights, Aboriginal freehold land, and Indigenous Land Use Agreements on behalf of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji People.
As the Executive Assistant, you will be the trusted right hand to the CEO and COO, providing high-level administrative support. This role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of a thriving organisation, contributing to both growth and efficiency.
Your Role
Based at the Mossman Headquarters, this important role provides administrative and executive support to the CEO and COO, including diary/travel management, correspondence and meeting support. In addition, the role coordinates media and communications activities across the organisation, ensuring effective internal and external engagement.
Some of your duties include:
Manage appointments, travel arrangements, and correspondence
Prepare agendas, reports, and meeting papers; attend meetings and record minutes.
Act as liaison between the executive office and staff, partners, and stakeholders.
Manage CEO and COO document flow, version control, and record-keeping systems.
Draft and distribute newsletters, social media content, and internal updates.
Maintain a communications calendar, ensuring timely publication of key messages.
Assist with digital content creation and liaise with media outlets and service providers.
Support planning and delivery of stakeholder meetings, public events, and launches.
Assist in the implementation of media campaigns, community engagement initiatives, and promotional events.

Essential requirements:
Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent experience
Current Driver’s License
National Police Check and Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or the ability to obtain
Demonstrated experience in media and internal communications, including digital content creation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and communications platforms.
