Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12 - $149, 739 - 173,174 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

The Department of Customer Service (DCS) is a service provider, regulator and central agency of government. DCS is undertaking an ambitious digital transformation of government services, underpinned by its Digital Government Strategy.

Government Technology Platforms (GTP) provides cross sector leadership and delivery of ICT infrastructure and digital service delivery reforms aligned to the NSW Government ICT Strategy.

About the Role:

In this role, you will/the key accountabilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Talend, ensuring alignment with government data standards and compliance requirements.
• Support the integration of data from multiple internal and external government sources into centralised data platforms to enable evidence-based decision-making.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain ETL workflows within AWS cloud environments, leveraging services such as S3, Lambda, and Glue in accordance with government cloud policy.
• Implement rigorous data quality, validation, and governance controls, ensuring integrity, traceability, and auditability of all data processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, business analysts, and policy stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to the automation of data ingestion and transformation processes to support reporting, analytics, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Ensure secure handling of sensitive and confidential data in line with government privacy and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation of ETL processes, configurations, and data flows to support transparency and continuity.
