The Role:
We are seeking a hands-on, licensed Event Operations Plumber to join our team. Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, delivering, and dismantling plumbing infrastructure for events. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that requires agility, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and oversee plumbing infrastructure for events from concept to completion.
· Manage day-to-day operations, including maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
· Load and unload trucks, clean and maintain portable amenities, and repair plumbing fixtures such as toilets and showers.
· Design efficient truck routes and loading plans for events.
· Develop and execute daily and weekly work schedules for your team.
· Ensure all plumbing work is compliant with SA safety and plumbing regulations.
· Maintain a safe and organised yard environment.
· Be on-site for major events to manage operations and troubleshoot as needed.
· Be required to respond to emergency out-of-hours call outs, if needed. This includes weekend and during out-of-hours periods throughout the event season.
· Answering and responding to calls on the after hours phone.
· Perform post-event analysis and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
· Support smaller jobs with structured planning to allow for smooth execution.
Skills & Experience:
· Current plumbing licence (SA).
· Proven experience in plumbing, preferably with a background in events or running a plumbing business.
· Strong organisational and communication skills.
· Ability to manage suppliers, logistics, and documentation under tight deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
· Sound knowledge of SA plumbing codes and regulations.
· HR truck and forklift licenses (or willingness to obtain).
Why Join Us?
· Be part of some of South Australia’s biggest and most exciting events.
· Work with a supportive, passionate team who take pride in what they do.
· Varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.
· Salary includes work vehicle and phone.
· Opportunity to grow within a business at the heart of the events industry.
