HR Manager to build and lead a modern people function that attracts, develops, and retains top-tier talent. You’ll work closely with leadership to shape a high-performing, people-first culture during an exciting phase of growth.
Your Role at a Glance: Reporting directly to the executive team, you will be the key driver across all HR functions, with a strong focus on aligning people strategies with business goals. Your impact will be immediate and long-lasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Career & Performance Development
Design and support career pathways that align with Cpmpany strategic objectives. Review and refine performance rating systems and lead quarterly reviews to ensure top talent is recognised and retained. - Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
Own the end-to-end recruitment process—CV screening, first-round interviews, candidate assessment, and cultural fit. Draft job descriptions and help position Austar as a destination employer in the finance sector. - Training & Learning
Develop a robust annual training plan for each division, along with tailored professional development programs for individuals. - Compensation & Retention
Help design and implement a bonus system that motivates performance and encourages retention of high-potential employees. - Onboarding Excellence
Create a welcoming, structured, and consistent onboarding experience to set new team members up for success. - Performance Management & Compliance
Guide the business through proper performance management, employee relations, and legal compliance in managing underperformance. - Organisational Growth Planning
Collaborate with leadership to shape the organisational structure to support scale, reduce key person risk, and foster internal career growth and succession planning. - Policy & Culture Development
Lead the creation and evolution of HR policies covering leave, social media presence (e.g. LinkedIn), and employee engagement. Contribute to building a cohesive and high-performing culture. - People Strategy & Advisory
Be the go-to resource for HR queries and challenges. Champion culture initiatives and talent strategy that aligns with our growth aspirations.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in an HR Manager or Business Partner role, ideally in a high-growth, professional services, or finance environment
- Deep understanding of Australian employment law, HR best practice, and compliance
- A strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align people programs with business outcomes
