Overview of role:
With a strong focus on operational efficiency and service delivery, the Fleet Officer ensures that Coliban Water’s vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and fit for purpose, while contributing to a well-managed and responsive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Fleet Officer, you’ll be accountable for:
- Managing all aspects of Coliban Water’s vehicle fleet, including servicing, compliance, usage, onboarding, disposal, reporting, and driver support.
- Providing facilities support by coordinating internal requests, managing contractor and building access, assisting with office moves and setup, maintaining first aid supplies, and supporting uniform orders and site services.
- Providing administrative and finance support by processing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier forms, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Support health, safety, and compliance by identifying and reporting hazards and vehicle risks, ensuring fleet and facilities activities meet OH&S and environmental standards.
About you:
- Practical experience and a solid understanding of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and facilities support.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands efficiently.
- Qualifications obtained through secondary education or vocational training, preferably Certificate III or IV level.
- Knowledge of, or experience with, fleet management systems (e.g., AusFleet) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve operational and safety goals.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 2 $62,475 - 72,897 + Superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.

Coliban Water was established on July 1, 1992 under the Water Act 1989 as a Regional Urban Water Authority.
Coliban Region Water Authority became the Coliban Region Water Corporation on July 1, 2007.
The Corporation is responsible to the Minister for Water, the Hon Lisa Neville MP, and our shareholder is the Victorian Government.
We are one of the larger Victorian Regional urban water corporations.
We manage, maintain and operate 35 reservoirs and water storage basins across North-Central Victoria and provide water and wastewater services to rural and urban customers across an area of 16,550 sqkm.
Our service region includes 49 towns, extending from Cohuna and Echuca in the north to Kyneton and Trentham in the south.
The western boundary incorporates Boort, Wedderburn, Bealiba and Dunolly and the eastern boundary includes Heathcote and Tooborac.
