About the role

Manningham Smiles Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our practice on a part-time basis in Templestowe Lower, VIC. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our dental team and ensuring the smooth running of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanour, strong communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, taking x-rays, and ensuring the surgical area is clean and prepared

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating patient information in our database

Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments

Restocking dental supplies as needed

Answering phone enquiries and scheduling appointments

Welcoming and greeting patients, checking them in, and managing the reception area

Providing exceptional customer service to all our patients

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients of all ages

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sterilisation

Basic computer skills and experience with D4W

A friendly, positive, and professional demeanour

A genuine interest in the dental industry and a desire to contribute to the overall patient experience
