Due to ongoing growth, Take the Lead is expanding and looking for passionate, driven, and dog-obsessed individuals to join our team!

We're hiring Front of House Superstars, Daycare Attendants, Animal Attendants, and Dog Trainers for our unique farm-style boarding, daycare, and training facility.

At Take the Lead, we believe in letting dogs be dogs. Our outdoor-based, farm-style facility offers boarding, daycare, and training services that allow our client’s canine companions to play, learn, and thrive in a natural and enriching environment.

We are a close-knit, values-driven team that takes pride in delivering exceptional care and service—both to our dogs and their humans.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for team players who are passionate about dogs, thrive in a fast-paced and hands-on environment, and are eager to grow with our business. Whether you’re working behind the scenes or front-facing with our clients, every team member plays a vital role in our day-to-day operations.

You’ll be trained across multiple areas, including:

Supervising daycare groups and dog socialisation yards

Delivering one-on-one care and handling of dogs of all breeds and sizes

Performing general cleaning and hygiene routines to a high standard

Supporting boarding arrivals, departures, and feeding routines/health checks

Participating in enrichment and add on services

Assisting or leading in obedience training and behavioural programs (Trainer roles)

Providing top-tier customer service and front-of-house support (Front of House roles)

Each of the roles available has an individual JNP available to view.

A Bit About You

We’re on the lookout for versatile, enthusiastic, and resilient people with a genuine love for dogs. If you're calm, confident, and adaptable, you'll fit right in.

You are:

Passionate about working with dogs in a hands-on environment

Willing to learn and follow consistent protocols and methods

Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather

Comfortable working independently and as part of a dynamic team

Available for rotating rosters including weekends, public holidays & peak periods

A strong communicator who can take direction and give feedback professionally

Experience in the animal industry is a bonus, but a great attitude and willingness to learn is what matters most. Whether you’re just starting your journey or have experience in dog care or training, we’ll support the right candidate to grow with us.

Role Requirements

Availability across a 7-day rotating roster between 6:30am – 6:00pm

At least one weekend day of availability per week

Commitment during peak periods (Christmas, Easter, school holidays)
