About the role

At Prosperity Care Pty Ltd, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Mango Hill, QLD. This is a casual role where you will play a crucial part in supporting individuals with disabilities to live their best lives. As a Disability Support Worker, you will work closely with our clients to assist them with daily living tasks, facilitate community engagement, and promote their independence and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

Providing personalized support and care to clients with a range of disabilities

Assisting clients with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

Supporting clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and other daily living activities

Facilitating community participation and social inclusion for clients

Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their individual needs are met

Maintaining accurate client records and documentation

Collaborating with the broader care team to deliver exceptional support

What we're looking for

A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar disability support or aged care role

A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to their well-being

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think on your feet

A caring, patient, and empathetic nature

A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver's license

A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
