About the Role

As our Recruitment Officer, you'll play a key role in sourcing, attracting, and onboarding skilled tradespeople and administrative staff for roles in building maintenance and construction.

Key Responsibilities

Identify current and future hiring needs across various trades and support roles

Develop and place job advertisements across SEEK, Indeed, and internal channels

Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and shortlist suitable candidates

Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide candidate feedback

Ensure all pre-employment checks and compliance documentation are completed

Maintain candidate databases and generate weekly recruitment reports

Assist in workforce planning and talent pipeline development

Build strong relationships with employment agencies, RTOs, and industry networks

Promote diversity, inclusion, and local employment in social housing communities

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience in recruitment (internal or agency)

Understanding of the construction or building maintenance industry preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Knowledge of Fair Work, award compliance, and employment contracts

Experience using ATS or recruitment software is highly regarded
