ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading mining operation, managing sustaining capital projects on the asset owner side. This role offers an opportunity to lead and deliver projects that are critical to the operation's success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and oversee sustaining capital projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to develop project scopes, schedules, and resource allocation plans.

Manage contract agreements, including reviewing and executing construction contracts, managing variations, and handling claims as necessary.

Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Monitor project progress, report on milestones, and mitigate risks to ensure project delivery meets or exceeds expectations.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Proven experience as a Project Manager in the mining, minerals processing, or similar industries.

Strong background in managing SMP (Structural, Mechanical, Piping) or Civil projects on the asset owner or client side.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate subcontractors, manage project finances, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
