Role Summary

Position: Speech Therapist (Work From Home)

Location: Fully remote (Work your own hours)

Type: Flexible working arrangement

Salary: Competitive hourly rates or fee-for-service arrangements

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct virtual speech and language assessments to identify client needs.

2. Develop and implement personalised therapy plans for individuals with communication or swallowing difficulties.

3. Provide regular online therapy sessions to support client progress and address challenges.

4. Educate clients and caregivers on strategies to improve communication and swallowing outcomes.

5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and client progress.

6. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to optimise therapy outcomes.

7. Stay updated on evidence-based practices and innovative tools in speech therapy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.

2. Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).

3. Proven experience delivering therapy services (virtual experience preferred).

4. Strong understanding of speech and language development and therapeutic techniques.

5. Reliable internet connection and ability to use telehealth platforms.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

8. Strong organisational skills to maintain accurate client records.

9. Own ABN and appropriate level of insurance.

10. Knowledge of the 'Splose' clinical management system is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

1. Previous experience delivering speech therapy in a telehealth setting.

2. Breadth of experience across various specialised areas (e.g., paediatrics, voice disorders, or fluency).

3. Training or experience with digital tools and augmentative communication technologies.

4. Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients.

5. Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships in a virtual environment.

6. Familiarity with Australian healthcare policies and NDIS guidelines.

7. Additional qualifications or workshops in remote therapy techniques.
