The Business Excellence department is within the Corporate Services directorate and includes the following critical functions: Business Improvement (BI)., Business Systems, and the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO).

We do this through leading and mobilising continuous improvement programs and uplifting organisational improvement capability. About the role
The Change Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a milestone project for the organisation - modernising and transforming the way Council runs its business and implementing new enterprise resource planning systems for Penrith City Council. This includes supporting the Organisational Transformation Project Manager and the organisation in full project lifecycle including planning, implementation, and post-implementation activities. It will provide professional excelled change management, developing project documentation, and expertise during every phase of the implementation, while fostering and facilitating collaborative and positive relationships with stakeholders, team members and vendor resources. The tools which this role will create will ultimately form part of our Enterprise-wide Project Management Framework.
Please note that this position will not undertake IT Service Management (ITSM) change management activities.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in working within a Change Management Framework at an enterprise or program level within a large and complex environment
- Experience in adapting the change management principles, methodologies and tools based on different scenarios
- Ability to hold workshops and training sessions, clearly articulating messages to a variety of audiences
- Experience in delivering Change Management for projects
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
Desirable criteria
- Qualification in Change Management or related area e.g. Change Management certification
- Local Government experience
- Relevant postgraduate qualification
Commencing salary: $129,386.00 to $149.770.00 per annum, plus 12 % Superannuation.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
