Join Plico Energy! A West Australian Solar + Battery company. The Installations function is scaling rapidly, with growing system volumes, subcontractor onboarding, and coordination complexity.
Introducing a dedicated Installations Manager will streamline day-to-day coordination tasks, improve installer support, and lift the quality and speed of delivery. This role ensures field teams, install support, and service departments are fully aligned and allows the Head of Operations Installations to focus on scaling delivery infrastructure and strategic priorities.
Objectives
Reduce operational bottlenecks by offloading routine but essential coordination tasks.
Increase install efficiency through better communication, record-keeping, and field support.
Enhance customer experience during the installation phase.
Improve visibility on missed costs and issues, enabling data-led improvements and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
System Onboarding and Reporting
Daily check of all installed systems in Alpha Portal (and other OEM Portals if applicable) for correct onboarding and configuration.
Update EMS status for onboarded systems if shifted from Alpha support.
Make sure all necessary installs are Synergy Test Tool approved.
Installer Support & Compliance
Ensure complete Installer onboarding is done.
Maintain Installer Compliance documents (up to date).
Hold regular WHS update sessions with installers to ensure compliance with Plico policies.
Monitor and maintain all required WHS records.
Ensure Installer training is completed.
Be the primary contact for all installer field queries during active installs.
Triage and escalate issues to the Head of Installations Operations as needed.
Sales Operations Support
Work with sales administration to resolve install-specific queries (e.g., bespoke site issues like scaffold, trenching, access).
Maintain an issues log for sales-to-install handover gaps.
Provide ongoing training to the sales team.
Cost Tracking and Reporting
Maintain a record of missed additional onsite costs.
Create weekly reports (e.g., in HubSpot) showing missed costs by FSR for feedback to sales.
Cross-Team Liaison
Coordinate with the Service Team for post-install 'return to site' rectifications.
Support installer teams in planning and follow-up.
Customer Coordination
Be the main point of contact for customer queries relating to scheduled or in-progress installations.
Ensure proactive communication and issue resolution.
