Position: Head Chef
Location: Mildura
Establishment: The Hideaway Restaurant at Sunraysia Resort
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all kitchen operations
Design seasonal menus and daily specials
Manage food costing, inventory, and supplier relations
Lead, train, and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff
Maintain hygiene, safety, and quality standards
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations
Develop and execute seasonal menus with creativity and precision
Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all dishes
Manage food costs, stock control, and supplier relationships
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen in line with food safety regulations
Lead, train, and inspire a professional kitchen brigade
Collaborate with FOH management for seamless service delivery
Requirements
Experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
Proven ability to lead a team and operate a high-standard kitchen
Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques and plating
Excellent organisational, time-management, and leadership skills
Passion for excellence, innovation, and seasonality
Package:
