About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team based in Bankstown, NSW. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting services.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements

Performing detailed account reconciliations and variance analyses

Assisting with the month-end and year-end accounting close process

Providing recommendations and advice to clients on financial management and optimisation

Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements

Collaborating with the broader team to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

What we're looking for

A degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification, with 5+ years of post-qualification experience

Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of financial accounting and reporting principles

Excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities to identify and resolve accounting issues

Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel

Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and present financial information clearly

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
