Ample Life is a provider of Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Respite Accommodation (MTA/STA) for NDIS participants across Sydney. We specialise in culturally and linguistically aligned care services to participants from diverse backgrounds such as Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Indonesian, Korean, Italian, and many others.
In each of our homes, our participants and carers share the same language and cultural backgrounds. This means that there are no language barriers. There is cultural sensitivity in our communication and care. Our participants get to enjoy food from their native cuisine on a daily basis just like at home. We play games, music, and TV from our participants’ native countries. Our homes feel like home.

About the Role
As the SIL Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our SIL homes, ensuring service excellence while maintaining high standards of documentation, reporting, and compliance. This role demands a balance of leadership, administrative expertise, and participant-focused care. You will work under the general direction of our Directors and provide participants with support that aligns with their goals and NDIS SIL plans, assisting them in achieving independent living.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of SIL homes to ensure smooth service delivery and participant satisfaction.
Person-Centred Practices: Lead and model individualised care by implementing NDIS care plans, supporting families, and collaborating with local providers.
Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and support staff to deliver high-quality care aligned with participants’ goals and outcomes.
Professional Administration: Manage rosters, appointments, emails, and ensure all forms and reporting requirements are meticulously completed.
Onboarding and Training: Facilitate effective onboarding, site orientation, and training for new employees, fostering engagement and development.
Reporting and Compliance: Complete weekly dashboard reports, conduct team meetings, and ensure compliance with Ample Life’s code of conduct, policies, and procedures.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with carers, participants, families, and other stakeholders to address concerns and resolve issues proactively.
Incident Management: Review and manage incidents and complaints to uphold quality and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you will need:
Intellectual Aptitude: Strong ability to manage complex tasks, including detailed documentation, planning, and prioritisation.
NDIS Experience: Solid understanding of Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, NDIS frameworks, and Quality and Safeguarding standards.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a team while driving high-quality service outcomes.
Organisational Excellence: Exceptional skills in reporting, calendar management, email correspondence, data management, and maintaining accurate participant records to ensure seamless operations.
High-Intensity Care Expertise: Proficient in implementing behavioural support plans, restrictive practices, manual handling procedures, and managing medication protocols to support participants' needs effectively.
Empathy and Drive: A passion for improving lives and delivering exceptional care.
Preferred Backgrounds
Candidates with extensive experience in the disability sector, particularly in NDIS SIL and related fields, are encouraged to apply. This includes experienced SIL Managers, Team Leaders, Support Coordinators, Service Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, and Behavioural Support Practitioners who have a proven track record of supporting individuals with disabilities.
