About the Role
The Children’s and Youth Ministry Coordinator focuses on re-establishing a faith forming and community connected ministry for Children’s and Youth. The role focuses on establishing new ministry initiative/s for children and youth in the school age group, and works with the Hobart North Faith Formation Team and Minister to enhance the participation of children, young people and their families in the total life of the congregation.
This is a Non Placement Pastor, casual position, based in Hobart North.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, and tertiary qualifications in Community Services or similar relevant discipline.
An understanding of and involvement in worship and the Christian Faith, and willingness to work within the ethos and policies of the Uniting Church in Australia.
Demonstrated experience engaging with a diverse range of young people and their carers in activities, events and initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate programs for young people.
Demonstrated competency with computer software, applications, social media, and the Microsoft office suite.
The successful candidate will:
Have a Working with Children Check
Have the right to work in Australia
Undergo a National Police Check before commencement
Undertake core competency training for pastors within the Uniting Church in Australia
