The City of Karratha is seeking a dedicated Group Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art recreation facilities at the Karratha Leisureplex (KLP).
About the Role
As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for the safe and effective provision of a quality group fitness program to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure classes/programs are relevant, beneficial, and of the highest quality, with ongoing evaluation and adaptation to meet participant needs.
- Maintain professionalism by adhering to industry regulations, ensuring safety, duty of care, and providing clear communication, while also being proactive in professional development.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the class environment.
- Actively contribute to planning, evaluating, and improving the group fitness program
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant group fitness certification and experience
- Certificate III in Fitness
- Certificate IV in Fitness desirable
- Current First Aid Certificate
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old)
- Current C class driver’s licence
- Ability to work across operational hours (Monday – Sunday)
