About our client:

Our client is a well-known Government-adjacent organisation, operating within the tourism sector.

How you will contribute:

We are urgently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to step into a 4-week temporary assignment, covering a leave period.

This is a critical role, with the successful candidate solely responsible for processing payroll for approximately 120 employees. You’ll be managing end-to-end payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely payments during the leave coverage period.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience managing payroll independently;
• Strong understanding of compliance, superannuation, and entitlements;
• High attention to detail and reliability under time pressure;
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision; and
• Ability to start a new role this week and commit to the contract term.

Key Details:

• Location: Brisbane CBD (on-site based role);
• Duration: 4 weeks, potential extension;
• Start: ASAP;
• Pay: $50 - $60 + super per hour, casual rate;
• Monday – Friday or Monday – Thursday;
• Flexible start and finish time; and
• Working alongside a supportive wider corporate team.
