Your Role

As an Industrial Electrician at AMG, you will be an integral part of project delivery, maintenance, and site commissioning across a range of industrial and renewable projects. Your expertise will help keep the wheels of industry turning and support the state’s energy transformation.

In this role, you will:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults in industrial automation, power, and control systems.

Execute electrical installations, upgrades, and commissioning for industrial and renewable energy facilities—including solar farms, battery storage, and process plants.

Perform scheduled and emergency breakdown maintenance to maximise uptime for client operations in heavy industry, mining, water, and utilities.

Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives on-site.

Ensure all work complies with safety standards, site procedures, and relevant regulations.

Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to deliver projects safely and on time.

About You

You will thrive with us if you have:

A current Australian Electrical Licence.

Strong experience working in industrial settings (e.g. mining, renewables, water/utilities, or large-scale manufacturing).

Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics, commissioning, and automation.

High standards for safety and a proven ability to identify hazards and implement controls.

Confidence to work independently in remote or high-risk environments, and willingness to travel as required.

Essential:

LVR/CPR certification (current)

Construction White Card

Manual driver’s licence

Team player with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills

Desirable (not required):

Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical

Instrumentation, Hazardous Areas, or HV Switching tickets

Confined Spaces / Working at Heights

High-Risk Work licences
